I just realized that tonight/tomorrow daylight savings time ends. I thought it was next weekend, because I swear a certain someone told me that it was. I wish we could just all stick to a time because I get confused easily. Tomorrow, I will spend the day imagining that this is what people who live in the central time zone must feel like. Which, in some strange way, makes sense to me. Go figure.

Also, barcodes are fun.

We actually went on a field trip in Geology today. To a car wash. In Jeannette. It was really pathetic. But you do know that it's going to be slightly interesting when you're in a van driven by one of the most notorious drinkers in your class, he's wearing a Miller Lite hat, someone in the van asks him "Are you sober?" and he answers "Unfortunately, yes."

The van ride was the most interesting part of the whole field trip. We learned that a certain someone has a weird obsession with Hanson. We also learned that our school is run by a bunch of douchebags because they refused to let Simple Plan play a concert. Instead we get stuck with Vertical Horizon, who haven't had a hit song in three years. I'm still trying to figure out why Simple Plan is considered more objectionable than either Fuel, Nonpoint, or Sevendust.

I feel bad for the people who were stuck in Dr. Smitty's van. You just know that he spent the whole trip lecturing them about the joys and wonders of sedimentary rocks. We, on the other hand, spent the trip making fun of how Dr. Smitty looked in his leather jacket.

I want to wish all you Mr. and Mrs. Picksburghers out there a Happy John McIntire Day!

I love Johnny Mac and hope he finds some work here in the 'burgh. I couldn't stand it if he were to go away. I need to hear my daily dose of President-select ridicule.

Last night, I somehow put my watch on while I was sleeping. I woke up at around 3:30 am and noticed this. Weird.

It's really depressing when you spend your entire fall break doing work and it's still not done. I got my documentary paper done (which takes like 10 minutes), my old testament study guide is basically finished, I finished my geology current event paper and my lab report (which ended up being 10 pages of utter crap). I wanted to get started on my big geology paper, but that never happened. I do have Thursday off, however, thanks to Dr. Smitty and his out of town trip.

I've come to the conclusion that I would get more work done if I wouldn't alternate between posting at the TWoP Forums, posting at GGMB, and typing papers. I just can't help myself.

I'm taking my TV/VCR to some shady place tomorrow to see if they can fix it. I hate when VCRs go on tape eating binges.

My car battery died this morning. Just what I needed when I was already running late. I took my mom's car to class, then realized I forgot my parking permit. Thankfully, the Puerto Rican Parking Nazi was also running late. No parking ticket for me!

I have the cold from hell (phrase not attributed to Richard Lewis) and it's only October. I started feeling like crap on Friday morning and it got worse throughout the day. Saturday morning arrived with a headache, earache, and clogged sinuses. It's now Monday and I feel worse than I did on Saturday and It's. Only. October.

God, I hate PA.

What Is Your Battle Cry?

Zang! Who is that, rampaging amidst the freeway! It is Dionnewarwick, hands clutching a sharpened screwdriver! She grunts homicidally:

"By Odin's mighty spear, I feel like chicken tonight!!"

Relatives and money issues just don't mix. Too bad some just can't figure that one out.

That's right, it's Emmy weekend. I will be glued to my tv watching Joan and Melissa rip celebs to shreds and then getting pissed off when my picks don't win. So here's my picks:

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series - I'd like to see Peter Krause get it, but it'll probably go to Michael Chiklis. He was cool as The Commish, so I guess I'll be ok if he wins.

Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series - Larry David, baby! I love that man. Unfortunately, his genius will probably be overlooked and the Emmy will go to Tony Shalhoub.

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Comedy Series - Jane Kaczmarek. I'd like to see her win, but with my luck they'll give it to Sarah Jessica Parker, though I can't understand what everyone sees in her...

Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series - Jennifer Garner. They'll give it to Edie Falco, though.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series - Brad Garrett, but they're probably all pissed at him for the salary dispute. They will instead give it to one of the Frasier people, even though that show is old and decrepit.

Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series - I like Victor Garber. They like Joe Pantoliano. Boo on them.

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series - Cheryl Hines. Talent, talent, talent. She also sat on the couch on Jimmy Kimmel and giggled uncontrollably through the entire show. The Emmy will go to Kim Cattrall. Ick.

Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series - Rachel Griffiths, but they'll give it to Stockard Channing. Is the West Wing still on the air? It won't be after John Wells runs it into the ground.

Outstanding Drama Series - 24. CSI will win.

Outstanding Comedy Series - Curb Your Enthusiasm. Sex and the City will win. Why? I haven't a clue.

I hope the John Ritter tribute is fabulous. He deserves the best they have to offer.

Here's the picture that I spoke of yesterday.

How unfortunate. But I will resist the urge to make further comments.

It's just been one of those days.

Long day on campus. Geology quiz. Religion exam tomorrow. Getting sick. And to top it all off, the server my site is hosted on is down. I filed a ticket with tech support, so hopefully they'll resolve it soon. It figures that when I get motivated enough to actually update is when my server decides to crap out.

I'd post an amusing picture of Bush doing what appears to be a Heil Hitler, but oh yeah, my server's down. Bastards.
